After a very successful and exciting first season in the PC Battrick Championship, it is with great pleasure that I announce the 2nd season of the PC Battrick Championship!

After an exciting season last year, full of ups and downs for everyone, this years competition is bound to be even better! Such has been the demand for people wanting to join, a 3rd division has been created with the fresh teams looking for success in later seasons. All promotions and relegations from last season will still stand, and as relegation was not at the time considered from division 2, the teams who finished in the bottom 3 there will not be relegated to the 3rd tier.

The new teams were selected based upon the activeness on the boards and on Battrick in general, so while a lot of teams may have just decided to post their team name and the go away, they are the ones who will miss out. Some of the new teams selected will also jump straight into division 2, replacing the inactive teams, this was purely selected based upon who declared their interest in the new teams thread first.

The same rules that applied for last years tournament will also stand for this one too. Promotion and relegation will now work out like this.

Division 1
1st - League Winner
2nd - League Runner-Up
1-4 - All compete in a play-off to decide the overall Champion
10-12 - Relegated to Division 2

Division 2
1st - League Winner - Automatic Promotion
2nd - League Runner-Up - Automatic Promotion
3-6 - All compete in play-offs, winner of play-off final will promote to division 1
10-12 - Relegated to Division 3

Division 3
1st - League Winner - Automatic Promotion
2nd - League Runner-Up - Automatic Promotion
3-6 - All compete in play-offs, winner of play-off final will promote to division 2

The leagues will be posted shortly, with the first round of fixtures being posted this Sunday.

One final note, the league will start on Sunday, March 18th so please after this Sunday do not make external challenges and ensure you are free. Remember as always, it is the home team who makes the challenge.

Good luck to all involved!
