Both of these have antagonistic actions on the body, Glucagon increase blood glucose level while the insulin maintains it by lowering it down, if pancreas stops producing insulin this drastically increase blood glucose level and leads to a very famous medical condition of Diabetes Mellitus, the glucose level rises as high that our kidneys are also not able to reabsorb it and it passes through urine.

If someone is Diabetic, Immunity goes down and he/she is susceptible to a variety of diseases from getting serious in COVID to mucormycosis (Black Fungus).

I am diabetic and can confirm the above though never heard of black fungus

That was recently spread in India in COVID recovered patients who were on steroids (which ultimately suppresses Immunity), Oxygen support (the moisture leds the fungus to grow) while their treatment.
It's a rare disease as a normal person's immunity can easily handle this without any drug while the immunity of COVID patients was too low that they were not able to fight with it. It can be treated if diagnosed earlier later it can be fatal, Many people in India died from it.
Not only Black there were cases of White, Yellow Fungus in India.
