Pls help - It don't work

Pls can someone help. I have bought BLC and whilst it loads up fine, when I go to play a game, after the coin toss, it just sticks on the screen with the umpires.
I have a soundmax sound card and an intel graphics chipset if that helps.
Is there a patch out there that sorts it out or have I just bought a turkey?

Check www.codemasters.com and look at their FAQ on Brian Lara Cricket. I remember it telling the answer to that question.

Also, try checking on the 'search' facility on this forum. I think other people have had similar problems.

Here's the solution: after you start BLC, go to settings, disable music, quit, restart BLC.

And then when you restart, turn music back on I think.

Hey dude if you haven't solved the problem yet i know exactly how to do it go the "settings" go to "audio" there in the driver selection select "Game comaptible device " where ever applicable and then apply this will solve the problem

Dont' turn the on music again!

If you are not gettin game compatible device reinstall the direct x

An unrelated help question: My BLC works perfect while batting, but when I go on to bowl, the moment the ball leaves bowler's hand, the game crashes! Anyone enountered this problem? Any solution?
It used to work till last Friday, I don't know what happened after that, pl help!

i think i know ur problem..........i think u won't hear any sound at the start of the game?????????
if so u should press the up arrow key and then press enter when they show the Brian lara's photo after the introduction video................then u will have sound then u will be able to play....but when u play long the sound maygo again...........better save in between

Why don't you turn the music back on - I had that problem, and codemasters told me I could do that.
