Haha - guess it does sound similar to it. Can't believe I've never realized that before. Think it might have to with the fact that it often contains pan/pani:

"Jak się pan/pani ma?" It's the more polite version.

So, huge snow storm over the weekend has left me without TV and Internet for the last 4 days. I've had snow days for two days as well. Absolute torture, there was literally nothing to do so I couldn't leave the house either. Lucky that we kept power though, most of the city didn't even have that (and heat!)

The only channel that did work was the cricket channel. I ended up watching Australia thrash Zimbabwe about 4 times. Did enjoy watching the dutchman give a good fight to the English too. Internet just got back on and I have to write an essay on consumer-direct genetic testing for my notorious bioethics teacher tomorrow. No extensions, even in the case of snowdays, power outages, lack of internet, etc.

Tell me about it. I thought it wouldn't be too bad at first and then I was going mad...like a straight up withdrawal symptoms .

It's not like I could go out either, snowed in.

Crazy thing is, it was actually nice weather on Friday. Almost touching 60 degrees, I was out in shorts. All the snow (like 18") from the last storm was melted and gone, I could finally see the grass...and then boom. this happens.

Should have school tomorrow. I'm actually kind of happy about that. Except for going to my friends house to play some black ops earlier today, I am having a serious case of cabin fever.
