I Used To Play Ashes Cricket 2009 @ 40FPS Usually
I Have a habit of changing my WINDOWS XP /WINDOWS 7
Finally I Was Bored OF Playing Ashes Cricket 2009 and uninstalled it properly
then i re-installed the game in the same windows few months later( Windows 7)
then game loaded well
Menu's loaded at 60fps
when i clicked play it got loaded
and showed the ground's preview
I Was just shocked it was running really slow(1FPS)
So I thought a driver problem and re-installed new drivers(Didn't work)
Re-Installed Windows 7(Didn't Work)
Switched To Windows XP(No Improvement)
Please Help

To be honest I don't think there is a solution other than if you have an xbox 360 buy it for that machine instead... I did. It does'nt matter how powerful your machine is the game runs poorly. I can offer some advise maybe it will help.

1) Turn off anti aliasing both within the game and if your gfx card has the setting (nVidia's do) turn to application controlled.

2) Lower your screen res, turn off shadows.

3) Turning the crowd off does speed the game up but you lose all the atmosphere.

Other than that AC09 on the PC is a lost cause, hence why I bought an xbox, as it is I doubt we will see many new PC cricket games from the big 2 anyway.

Actually got the game (for now) to run at a decent speed. I only have a mediocre PC, Dual Core, 4gb RAM, Win XP SP2, 256mb nVidia gfx card.

Res: 1680 x 1050
Gfx : Medium
Anti Aliasing: 2x
Shadows: off
Special Effects off

Remember... if you have an nVidia graphics card turn settings to application controlled.

I'm using both open beta patches too.

Can't guarantee it will stay working but for now it is :cheers

Steve.
