The Real Madrid Board were not happy with the man who reached them to their league triumph after 2 yrs was asked to leave his post with giving a reason that his managering style doesnt suite Real Madrid's style of play.
Bernd Schuster former Getafe man was choosen to suceed Fabio Capello.

There were a lot of question marks when the new manager was choosen.Lot of pressure would be on the new man to retain the title as well as to taste some domestic cup sucess.There wud be a lot for the new manager to prove ....

As the new La Liga season just on the brink the fans wud be expecting a lot from the manager and the new players that came in , in the summer transfer window like

Press: Being the new manager of the club what will be the club's expectation or objectives for the season?

Schuster: The main goal wud be to defend the title and also go for the cup glory.

Press: Many bucks spend on new players. what do u think about them?

Schuster: The players bought in are really talented to play for the club and wud play a major role to defend the title.

Press: What about the defenders ? Will it take time for the 2 new centre defenders time for settle.

Schuster: Our defence is really good.We hav Cannavaro who won the golden ball last season , he is a gr8 centre defender.While Heinze and Sergio are great full backs and Metzelder will be a very useful centre defender too.

Press: Who will be taking Beckham's role of a player maker in the team as he left the club?

Schuster: Beckham was a great player.His crosses will surey be missed.Probably Robben wud play on the right plank.

Real Madrid went into the match with a lot of hopes..they did win but at the end it was nail bitter...Raul opened the scoring in the 37th min with a good header from a robinho cross.Pavonne got a one on one chance with Casillas but he just chiped it wide.

Real Madrid created a couple of chances in the 2nd half but they were not convert.In the 86th min Rafael Sobis equalised due to the confusion between the 2 centre backs Cannavaro and Metlerzder.This made Real Madrid to score in injury time.Saviola the super sub came on and scored due to a brilliant pass by Sneijder.

Media: You controled the game , but at the end u had to score in injury time to win.

Schuster: Yes , at the start it looked very easy game.We missed a lot of great chances.Maybe at the end we lost a bit of concentration with lead to the equaliser.But Saviola saved us and we won the game.We really deserved to hav won easily , but at the end win is a win and we got all three points which matters.

Media: Passing of the team didnt look good and there was very less communication between the two centre backs.

Schuster: Yes , we hav to improve a lot on our passing.Thats wat I will be telling them in the training sessions.Cannavaro and Metlerzder are new so it wud take a bit of time for them to settle.

Media: What positives will your be taking.?

Schuster: The win and also the new players settled well with the team.

Real Madrid on the wrong side of a Seven Goal Thriller​

Match Summary:​

Real Madrid went into this match with a good home record against barcelona.Raul openned the deadlock at the 10th min with a cool header from a corner taken by Robben.Barcelona equalised just after 6 mins , by a superb chip by Ronaldinho no chance for Casillas.Real Madrid Again got in front in the 27th min due Van Nistelrooy doing what he does best.But you cant count Barcelona out , Ronaldinho again scoring from an superb low cross of Zambrotta jut before the interval.

In the 2nd half Real Madrid were the 1st one to create chences and score through Raul in the 61st min - another superb shot hitting the post and going in , no chance at all for Valdes.But again Barcelona came back by a stunning Henry header in the 70th min from a corner taken by Ronaldinho.There was still some thing in the game maybe , and Ronaldinho scored again just before half time due superb pass by the former arsenal man Thierry Henry.This pass and the goal broke Real Madrid fans hearts and completed Ronaldinho's Hatrick.At the end Real Madrid were at the wrong side of a 7 goal thriller.

Schuster: Yes , maybe we lost concentration after always we went up...they equalised just after we scored.

Media: Your team again missed a lot of chances in the 2nd half.

Schuster : Oh yes we had many chances which we shud hav converted.There were a lot of bad decisions by the refree favouring Barcelona.There was again lack of communcation and cordination between the defence.This is our focal point now.We wud rise strongly in the next match.
