Anyone seen any reverse Swing?

I'd expect to see it around 40-45 overs but I've been getting no swing at all and there's no option on standard controls for reverse.

Weirdly, I've seen the ball start swinging normally again around 65 overs...

Umm.. I'm just guessing what you're calling normal swing after 65 is actually reverse.. just that controls don't change.

I've certainly seen reverse swing from fast bowlers. I've seen bowlers bowl outswingers (shows in the green semi circle) and seen it veer back towards the stumps. Pretty cool tbh - scared the crap out of me as i played for the outswing and it missed my offstump by a bees dick.

That's cool. I never use the aerial marker so not noticed it from the AI.

Yeah i've just gotten the game so am starting out from scratch on easier settings. Once i get the hang of everything (I'm still finding out new shots etc which i didn't know was there! lol..how cool is that??) then I start my 'real' batting career mode ie. full real played in first person mode. But yes thats how i found out about reverse swing. In fact, I upped the impact of swing so I"ve seen the ball swing a LOT (esp when the new ball was taken). Really loving AC now compared to the old DBs.

Glad you're enjoying it! I was actually thinking about buying dbc17 as the ball is much more visible and the pitch wear seems better. I'll wait for the next patch first though just in case...

Pretty certain the green semi circle conveys the starting line and not the swing.

Fun trivia: I tried bowling with different seam positions and though it could have been a placebo effect but it did swing back in when I chose to bowl outswingers with seam pointing to leg slip. Couldn't do it consistently across matches but that one spell was a beauty. If only, BA would come out and explain how reverse swing or seam positions are meant to work. @BigAntStudios @MattW

Interesting fun trivia. Do you remember around what over it was reversing?

From what I can recall it was before the 50 over mark.

I think I said to you earlier about pitch wear not being shown in casual matches, I was wrong. On my test match day 3 - 5 the pitch had a lot of cracks. But start of each over for the first ball they wouldn't be visible and if I changed the bowler from around to over vice versa the cracks would reappear. All in all I don't think they do anything to impact gameplay so meh

In reply to pitch wear, I'm in day 3 of the test at Adelaide and there are cracks in the pitch that are visible near the stumps. That's with regular wear, not quick wear.

Also, I'm in the 4th innings right now and the ball swung for 15 or so overs then stopped. At 52 it began swinging again. I'm on 74 overs and it's still swinging. Dunno if it's the pink ball, but it def swung, stopped and started again. I'm using standard controls, so selecting out swing is still making the ball outswing etc.

If anything, it's swinging too much. Struggling to get the ball in the right place the last 10 overs or so!

Interesting. I too had cracks and wear on the pitch during the Ashes Series, just that I've not experienced it during a casual test.

Seems you got some (reverse?) swing a bit earlier than I do but, yeah, it lasted for me up until the new ball.

I got some reverse swing with Mitchell Starc about 40 overs into my bowling innings in a test, I only use seam position to swing the ball(not the outswing-inswing ball selections) it was very noticeable as the ball hadn't swung at all since the first couple of over. However it would only work with Mitchell Starc going left arm over, no other bowler could get it reversing
