A stellar innings from Naresh, coupled with a solid innings from Adyhorn at the top and cameos from Howsie and Wilfred Rhodes takes Chennai to a very respectable 159/5. Man D came in with a full-strength bowling attack, and Zorax and Syd Barnes teamed up to strike early to reduce Chennai to 18/3 after 3 overs. But Adyhorn and Naresh rebuilt the innings well. Adyhorn fell 3 runs short of a fifty with 7 overs to go, and that's when Naresh stepped on the accelerator, helping Chennai hammer 57 runs off the final 7 overs in difficult batting conditions.
Chennai have a strong bowling attack suited to the conditions, and with Man D's experimental batting order, they'll be fancying their chances for a win here. Will they pull it off? Stay tuned as we find out shortly!

And the Man D juggernaut keeps on rolling as they somehow, incredibly, steal a last-ball victory against Chennai! The chase started with Pal and Adyhorn taking the new ball. Pal kept things tight while Adyhorn got struck for sixes in consecutive overs by The Spin. But in his final over he got rid of the Man D owner for a chance-filled 30, and after the powerplay Man D were steady at 47/1, Chennai holding the slight edge. Out came Zorax to partner KBC, and together they built up a healthy partnership, running well and hitting the odd boundary. The required rate creeped up to 8 and even touched 9, but the pair was unfussed. With 57 to win in 6 overs, they picked up two fours off Gillyfan. But more crucially, with 38 runs to win in 4 overs, they picked up 3 boundaries off Aarvinda de Silva, taking 14 off the over and putting the match firmly back in the balance. KBC's fantastic knock came to an end in the very next over though, as Qadir trapped him LBW after being taken for a streaky boundary. With 16 needed in two overs, Chennai's star of the season Adyhorn got rid of Zorax on 45 on conceded just 6 runs, leaving Man D needing 10 runs off the final over to be bowled by Pal, and everyone on the edge of their seats.
That's when Harris decided to show us all what he could do, clobbering a four and hitting the winning runs off the very last ball, taking Man D home in a completely unexpected win! A championship performance from a team that can't seem to be beaten, and an real tough break for Chennai who were showing us all that championship form. But they should be able to hold on onto their fourth spot, and there are several positives to take out of this match, despite Man D's flukey win. As for Man D, well, can anyone stop them?
