TOSS REPORT:- TONY GREIG AND RICKY PONTING
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Tony Greig: "Ricky, whats your thoughts on the Pakistanians decison to bowl first?"
Ricky Ponting: "Well to be honest if we had won the toss i would have batted first anyway, we are surprised by the decision."

Tony Greig: "How do you think the pitch will play?"
Ricky Ponting: "It looks to be a good batting surface. It is a bit dry and that will help our spinners later."

Tony Greig: "I must say i was surprised whn i saw the line-up eariler today, bevan not playing?
Ricky Ponting: "Yes, it was a tough decision but we felt that to beat the Pakistanian's we needed to score quick runs, im not putting bevo down but he just isn't that sort of player."

Tony Greig: "Whats your plan of attack for the match?"
Ricky Ponting: "We can see right now that the pitch is going to give the pace bowlers nothing earlier on, so our target would be to really put some pressure on the opposition early. A good first 15 overs will win it for us."

Tony Greig: "Thanks for your time."
Ricky Ponting: "Anytime Tony."

Enjoy the dust pitch.

Im looking for some high scores from you guys.

yep, i will be hoping to post something around the 400 mark. I got 380 on a green pitch and batting first on a dusty pitch should suit me well.

Anything above 350 will be a tough chase no doubt

am goign to start my inings very soon.

will post updates at 25, 40 and 50 overs

MATCH UPDATE:- 25 OVERS
------------------------------------------
The Australians vs the Pakistanians.
A pretty hot new Zealand day, the pitch looked like it would turn half a mile.

Australia batting first.
Australia played a very good first 25 overs.
they started a bit slow in the first 10, they were still going strong though, they hadn't lost a wicket.
At 15 overs they had taken the score to around 125.
They lost gilchrist for 56, skyed it straight up in the air.

Hayden and Ponting are now in and are looking very good. Everything hayden hits seems to go for four, and Ponitng is starting to hit them nicely.
