I know this should really be in the WWE Thread, but I thought it would be easier to keep tabs on people's selections and see who gets it correct.

So, who do you think will win next Sunday's Royal Rumble?

I'll add your selections to this post and then see who is correct, if anyone.

King Pietersen - Randy Orton/Triple H
Sledger - Randy Orton/Triple H
tobes - Shawn Michaels
Tanmay - Undertaker
Griffo - John Morrison
sd92 - MVP/Mr Kennedy
Zorax Doom Randy Orton/Rey Mysterio
scion_sidSantino Marella
PrecambrianTriple H/Undertaker

Triple H - just because, and yes, as KP has said, failng HHH I would back Orton, can't see them realistically awarding this to anyone else.

Stone Cold Steve Austin... oh no wait a minute, this isn't in the 90's :p

I think Shawn Michaels will win the Rumble.

Pretty sure he's basing that on a pretty lame and almost certainly untrue rumour going round the internet that HBK will win the Royal Rumble, with JBL winning the title at the Rumble, setting up an HBK-JBL Main Event. Which, frankly is not going to happen, it leaves too many of the big draws out of the main event. Guy like Cena, Orton and Triple H would then be completely out of the Main Event draw at WM, which would make Wrestlemania a far less appetising event, especially for the younger 'PG' generation of fans. Orton-Cena will be the main event I imagine.

I'll wait to see who else is included in the list of participants. At this early stage my pick would be...MVP

Simply because I think he'll snap out of this losing stuff with a big win and it'll launch him into the Main Event scene. I could see him turning face and facing someone like Edge at this year's WM, or maybe Jeff Hardy if he still has the strap. But, saying that, I've read about Smackdown having an Elimination Chamber to decide the No.1 contender for WM match, so if MVP wins, I wouldn't be surprised to see him pick the World Heavyweight Championship and switch to RAW.

John Cena vs. MVP at WM25 for the World Heavyweight Title would be an awesome match, IMO.

Can't see it happening tbh. MVP's certainly got alot of potential, and I'm not doubting his ability to be a Wrestlemania Main Eventer, but not this year. Next year could be MVP's year. I'm going to stick with my prediction of Orton/Cena for the World Heavyweight Title, and then I'm going to go out on a limb and say Christian Cage vs Jeff Hardy for the WWE Title. Then I'm also going to have a guess at HBK-Undertaker at WM as well.

And yeh, I've read those rumours about an Elimination Chamber as well. Apparently going to be:
Undertaker
Triple H
Vladimir Koslov
Jeff Hardy
Big Show
Edge

I'd guess that'll be for the WWE title, with Jeff winning, as frankly it'd be mad for Jeff to lose the title as that'd be 4 Straight WWE PPV's resulting in a change of title wouldn't it? Something like that anyway.

WWE's certainly shaping up nicely atm, and I'm really enjoying it. Not a huge fan of the whole 'PG' era beginning, but the guys that WWE have got in are doing a fantastic job, and there are also good future prospects with guys like Morrison, Hardy, Benjamin, Ziggler, Swagger, MVP, etc and then the newest aquisitions in Christian Cage and Low-Ki, or 'Kawal' as he's going to be called in the 'E. As I said in the Wrestling thread, WWE is comfortably ahead of TNA atm, with WWE really making forward steps and TNA going backwards. Nice to see TNA giving Shelley a title run though :hpraise

I think Triple H, Jericho or Orton.

I hope Orton wins or we get a shock with MVP or Morrison winning.

Right I've changed the rules to this and you're each allowed 2 selections.

So, for those who've only posted one so far, please find another candidate and for those of you who've posted more than 2, please make your bloody mind up LOL.

My next selection after MVP is Mr Kennedy. Although he hasn't yet wrestled, and is only promoting his new movie, I think we could see him return in the Rumble and cause an upset. He's definitely a rising star, and had he not been so stupid as to do drugs then he'd be in the Main Event scene now (it was all planned. He was to be Vince's son, then go on to a big fight at WM). He's apparently ready to go, and it would also make sense from WWE's point of view, as they could promote his movie much better with him being a WM Main Eventer.

Well it's going to be someone who's actually going to be a big pull for fans as a WM main eventer, which to be brutally honest rules out the likes of Morrison, MVP, Kennedy, and guys like that for me, they're also going to be the main guys for the Money In The Bank match as well. I'd therefore say that for my second guess I'll go Triple H. I can see him getting the win if Orton doesn't, because if he doesn't I can't really see where he'd fit into the WM line-up, and I can't see Levesque going a full WM without a decent match. So my first guess would be Orton, but if he doesn't win, then it's only going to be Levesque I think.

WM Line-up will therefore include something like:
Cena vs Orton/HHH
Jeff Hardy vs Christian and/or vs Edge
Undertaker vs HBK (Unbeaten WM record vs Mr Wrestlemania)
Morrison, MVP, Punk, Kennedy, and a few others in the Money In The Bank

That's as far as I'd guess, don't really know who the lower card matches would be between, but I'd be more than happy to pay for that top card!!
