RTS Games

aoe 3? civilazitions 3 is meant to be good too, i aint a RTS guy..

Well the latest one out is BFME2. It should be a great game, but its just too simplistic, and as you want an aoe or ee style game, I doubt you'll like it. The economy system, while being slightly innovative, is still very basic, and the game revolves around fighting and how well you micro your army. Its very fast paced, games can get to be very intense.

The other top RTS is AOE3...I've been playing it for the past 5 months now, and its still great. Slightly imbalanced, but ES just released patch 1.05 two days ago, and its great now. This game is very economy based, in most instances a good economy > good micro.

Apart from those 2, there's Rise of Legends thats coming out in a month or 2, it should be great, since its the sequel to RoN. I'm looking forward to that.

Then there's TA Spring, yes I know its an old game :p , but it is simply brilliant. Lots of people have started playing it again in anticipation for SupCom, its sequel. Believe me, the game is extremely balanced, extremely difficult, and extremely fun.

Out of all, I would say you should go for BFME2, because it has a smaller, more friendly community. Also, it has an auto-report feature for clanwars so it saves alot of time AND encourages more clans.

Oh yeah, I forgot, there's Star Wars: Empire at War too. Released last week. Most people are saying they've made it for Star War geeks, and that there's no strategy involved. However, its still an RTS nonetheless and many people find it interesting. I myself haven't played it, and I don't intend to because it has no mirrors, and you can't choose what side you play as!
