Sachin Tendulkar has been the most complete batsman of his time, the most prolific runmaker of all time, and arguably the biggest cricket icon the game has ever known. He is the mainstay of Indian batting line-up for more than two decades. He is the world's leading run-scorer in both Test (15,837) and ODI (18,426) cricket.
His batting is based on the purest principles: perfect balance, economy of movement, precision in stroke-making, and that intangible quality given only to geniuses - anticipation.Tendulkar has been honoured with the Padma Vibhushan award, India's second highest civilian award, and the Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna award, India's highest sporting honour. He was also the first sportsperson and the first one without aviation background to be awarded the honorary rank of Group Captain by the Indian Air Force. Tendulkar has received honorary doctorates from University of Mysore and Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences. Sachin holds the 19th rank in ICC Player Rankings for Test batsmen as of 17 March 2013. On 1 August 2012, Sachin Tendulkar was nominated for the ICC People's Choice award for the third time. In 2012, he was nominated to Rajya Sabha, the upper house of the Parliament of India.

It was the highest score by any batsman for a while, before Virender Sehwag scored 219 (149 balls, 25x4 7x6) against West Indies in the 4th ODI of the 2011 home series against them.He has taken 200 international wickets ? 45 in Tests, 154 in ODIs where he is India's tenth highest wicket taker, and one wicket in Twenty20 Internationals. Also, he was one of the fine fielders at his time.

The Border Gavaskar Trophy, Indian Premier League, Champions League and the India-South Africa Test Series - The master has a packed schedule for the year.

If more people comment, the story will be interesting and there will be regular updates.

I'll certainly follow this story only to see if Tendulkar retires after the Proteas tour.

Nice to see someone using CC for a story. Would be nice if you can postlots of screenshots. The game has wonderful scorecards and graphs etcetera that really look good in a story.....
