Who is Better?

Here are Both Players Current Stats,
Saqlain obviously has been out of the game for like 5 years now but had he not injured his knee he would have had well over 400/500 wickets and hes still only 29 years old

Saqlain:
class mat balls runs wkts bbi bbm ave econ sr 4 5 10
Tests 49 14070 6206 208 8/164 10/155 29.83 2.64 67.64 12 13 3
ODIs 169 8770 6275 288 5/20 5/20 21.78 4.29 30.45 11 6 0

Kumble:
class mat balls runs wkts bbi bbm ave econ sr 4 5 10
Tests 112 35289 15484 542 10/74 14/149 28.56 2.63 65.10 27 33 8
ODIs 267 14279 10221 331 6/12 6/12 30.87 4.29 43.13 8 2 0

Copy and paste the figures into "code" and Kumble because he still plays for his country, always demolishes the tail and on 9 days out of 10 is on top form decieving batsman with his quikcer one several times in a spell.

how do i do that?
the code thing

pm it to me

Comparing a Leggy to an Offie? Not the most sensible debate to have but hey ho, i'll go with Kumble anyway. Proves that you don't need to be a massive turner of the ball to be a successful spinner.

It is one of the options in advanced mode, hover your mouse over them to find out which it is.

Kumble without a doubt he shows graft and determination and actually plays for his country.

Kumble. Has been performing for his country for years now, battling through injury sometimes (remember the fractured chin a few years back?), and yet destroying teams worldwide.

Kumble for me, he doesn't spin the ball like a Warne or MacGill but has managed to make a career out of consistency and determination. Plus having 10 wickets in one inns helps.

but what would saqlains stats be if his had played same number of matches as kumble?

not to mention in odi's?

That's just like asking what would Darren Gough's stats be like if he had played the same amount of matches as Glenn McGrath.

well saqlain still has time to come back

actually his 30th birthday was just last friday

his knees are recovering now aswell

till has enough time to play on for another 10 years at least

He probably would have ended up with the most wickets in Test cricket had he stayed on .
I'm doubtful of this. I've heard that Saqlain over-used the doosra. Even in his brief comeback against India, he was carted all over by the batsmen.

that was his first match after almost 1 year

he only just came back from his knee injury before getting injured again

he himself said his knees were only 50% at that time bu pcb said its his last chance so he had to play

Yea true, I do remember hearing that he used to bowl that way too much. I was actually thinking about the time in the game he would have had. But looking at it again can't see him finding another 500+ wickets to over take Murali. Also you just have to look at Vettori to see that spinners can have lean trots.

You seem to have some sort of agenda against the Indian team. Every player somehow happens to have an equal if not better counterpart in the Pakistani team. Perhaps this is some sort of inferiority complex...I don't know.

Anyway, I think both teams have very good and valuable players; the legends, the genius..etc. For me, Kumble is ahead because of his ability and work ethic.
