Im starting this thread to talk about what is happening around the world!

my first post will be about Zimambwe

THE JATROPHA TREE "FUEL"

WHATEVER magical properties the jatropha tree may possess, it cannot save Zimbabwe from Robert Mugabe.
The latest ray of hope from that benighted country is that Zim will stave off its chronic fuel crisis by making biodiesel from this plant.
How utterly bizarre and nonsensical.
First, huge quantities will have to be planted and cultivated in a country that can no longer even produce enough of its staple foods.
Zim will also have to build and operate the industrial facilities to process the jatropha harvest. And it will have to buy the know-how.
None of this is going to happen. The fuel crisis will end only when Mugabe is out of power.

Indian youth hangs himself after dad says no to mobile phone

NEW DELHI ? A 17-year-old Indian committed suicide after his father denied him a mobile phone, news reports said Thursday.
Satpal was found hanging from the ceiling of his home in Delhi, the Hindu newspaper said, quoting the police. He left behind a note saying he could not live without a mobile phone.
The police said the boy had lost his phone and had requested his father to buy him a new one. His father, an office assistant at a yoga institute, had refused.
The police said Satpal, a high school dropout, could have been clinically depressed.
India is among the fastest-growing mobile-phone markets in the world with 58 million subscribers. It was expected to add another 100 million subscribers by 2007

Iraq, oxygen for terrorism

In condemning the heinous acts of terrorism perpetrated against innocent people enjoying meals at restaurants in Bali, Indonesia, last Saturday, it is important to unpack and understand where the world is going in its declared war on terror.

The twin attack on two resort towns on the island is a terrible blow to tourism in a region still recovering from a terror outrage in 2002 which killed 202 people.

Last weekend, in the town of Kuta, suicide bombers struck again. Television footage showed macabre scenes of one of the suicide bombers moving about in the restaurant shortly before the blast and then the aftermath - bodies strewn all over and bloodied survivors fleeing. The other blast occurred almost simultaneously at two restaurants at Jimbaran, 30km from Kuta.

The Indonesian authorities immediately blamed Jemaah Islamiyah, a militant group connected to at least two other bombings in Indonesia and which is viewed as the regional arm of al-Qaeda.

The tragedy for Indonesia is that most Western countries may place its tourist resorts on their no-go blacklists. This will cause untold harm to local tourism and affect the livelihood of entire communities for years to come.

What motivates this perversity? These terrorists have no regard for human life, probably believing their end objectives justify the slaughter of innocent men, women and children. Also, it's ironic that of the most significant attacks since September 11 2001, only two were committed outside of predominantly Muslim countries. While the attacks mainly are aimed at Western interests, Muslims are largely the victims who bear the brunt of this kind of terrorism.

The world's community of nations must unite for what will have to be a relentless battle to stamp out the scourge. But a truth that the United Nations and some of its key members will have to face is that the invasion of Iraq was a mistake.

It has provided organisations attached to al-Qaeda with a raison d'?tre to continue their activities and the ideal conditions to train and hone a new generation of terrorists.

Thats all for now, if you would like to share anything thats on your mind please don't hesitate to do!!!!!!!!

The Genocide wont end for ages, even if Mugabe leaves.
Zimbabweans have it tough at the moment like many other African states yet no one is really doing anything, Mugabe has lost the plot.

Well the way stuff is running in South Africa , it wont be long that South Africa will become the next Zimbabwe (so called opinion by the DA leader Tony Leon)

Its very sickening to sit back here and to watch that the South African goverment lent over six billion rand to Robert Mugabe when the UN refused to, the only thing Mugabe accomplished to do with the money was only to pay of his own debt. Instead of keeping the money and instead of fighting the aids dilemma here in South Africa, we just open hearted give away stuff! we spent no money any more on buying military equipment, education and health, if a war has to hit South Africa now, we will most certainly surrender in a few hours! The only way that the Robert Mugabe era will end is when he dies, I see no other way!, I dont want to pray for his death! but seeing the chaos he has made in Zimbabwe makes me sick!
