Hello all

I just got a copy of Cricket 2004 for the PS2 last night. Can anyone tell me how to bowl spin? I've practiced lots in the nets, but I only seem to get a little bit of movement every so often when I stop the power meter at about half-way with the movement marker right on the edge of the ball (on the right-hand side if I want the ball to move right). Funnily swing bowling seems easy in comparision.

Thanks

Mark

well you know you have to put the ball on the seam.if your bowling with an off spinner you put it on the seam to the right(right hander)on the ball.confusing i know.

is it just me, or does the ball not turn in the nets when using a spinner??

Tried the dot all over the place as well.

Yeah, I can deffo get turn with a chinaman in the pitches that'll take spin, but I can't turn the ball in the nets with a chinaman. Nor offspinner, but they haven't seemed to turn that much in the game for me anyway.

Have not tried the spinners in the nets. I wouldn't expect much turn on that sort of "pitch" in real life - maybe one bit of realism EA have included in the game. Shame though as different nets for different bowlers would certainly help people that want to practice there before playing matches.

When you are bowling in the nets, maybe because the pitch is synthetic, the ball doesn't spin (as much). True, but I can spin the ball in real life in the nets just as well as I can spin in on the turf pitch.

Did you realise this is a game and most of it doesnt come close to real life?

The bit were its called cricket. LOL

Oh yeah and the fact that Im awsome. KIDDING
