When he was playing in Twenty20's he just came back after a long period of injury. He had to level up his match fitness, so that's why he didn't play in Test matches.

Can we expect Anjum to bowl? or will it be Aamir and Gul with a seam allrounder. So hard to pick a team for Pakistan because you never know who they will actually select!

Pakistan bowling camp looks bad, they got hammered by Sri lanka A who scored 350, in the other hand lanks will play 3’m … hmmm looks like bad news for Pakistanis ,,, anyway i am hopping to see how Umar Akmal bat

I am not sure if Umar Akmal will get a chance to play. He would have been in my team if his spot was guaranteed. I am not sure now if Malinga will play, since Fernando has been brought on to cover his position.

This is a big surprise for me: Imran Nazir is not playing. Also I've left out players like Younis Khan, Misbah-ul-Haq, Aamer, Gul, Samaraweera, Kapugedera, Mathews and Thushara. Hopefully it goes well without them. I am feeling especially that leaving Gul out will hurt me, but I was thinking that Ajmal will do well in spinning Sri Lankan pitches.

I see some people jumped on the ICL hype that Imran Nazir and Naved-ul-Hasan created and selected them. Early on I had Imran Nazir in my team, but I dropped him after he got a duck in the warm-up match. I still would have chosen him, if he was selected in the team though.

I see a couple of people went for Afridi as captain. I thought I would be one of the few.

Pavanbharadwaj, the winner of the two previous matches of this Test series, went again for Sangakkara as captain.
