Stats thread

I've not played BLC99 and didn't realise that is apparently had a career mode where you could play for 20 odd years all with stat tracking. Amazing that 10 years on the games has less depth and not more.

A shame to be honest.

Right, I reckon I've taken my "King of the Stats Geeks" throne back!!
I've added to my spreadsheet with overall all time rankings tables and new forms.
What I've done is knock up a formula that takes the statistical information you've put in (average, runs tons, wickets, 5 wkt hauls) in the stats section (see photo one) and creates a rating based on these numbers. I've gone through all of the best players of all time and standardised their averages making them comparable with each other. By this I mean that I've compared how each player rated against the average performance of his era, then applied the difference to an all time average figure to get an adjusted batting and bowling average that is standardised and able to be compared across time. Based on historical players stats I've drawn up all time topten list for batting and bowling, Test and ODIs (see photos). So now, and here's the thing, you can see if your created player is one of the overall best 10 players of all time based on his stats.
Not everyone's cup of tea but I'm loving the number crunching!!
Also my fixtures/results page has had a make over.

Dutchad and Joe, there's copy on the way.

That is truely... astonishing/incredible/stunning/strange? How do you find the time to do something like that?

I'm on that table when I push square! lol...

top of three categories.... but wish it had the results for my id (chunnster) as well - I am 198 wins and 2 losses.... both quite early on as adjusted.... used to even ahmmer the cheese grippers etc, but now I just avoid them (when can, lol!!).... stupid cheesers.... idiots...

People tend to quit versus people who play the game instead of their opponent/normal cricket tactics... I always do the later...

my proudest stat is number one in test batting cos I have average that 63 across 4 tests (everyone else is one, lol) and won all of them - hence the 80 test wickets.... against random and different opponents, that ain't easy, lol!!
