Story Story of the Month - Returns Soon

After a small break, the Planetcricket Story of the Month will be returning in September.

Features:-

1. There will be a maximum of six nominations which will be decided by MWaugh, myself or any other moderator. We need a minimum of three entries to hold the competition.
2. Only active stories will be nominated.
3. Winner will be entered in the Cricket Games Stories and Strategies Hall of Fame thread.
4. As before, the winning thread will be pinned, and the member will be given the 'best story of the month winner' tag.

This is still to be confirmed:

If the winning thread receives more than 75% of the total votes, the member will be awarded 100 reputation points.
50%-75% - 50 reputation points
25%-50% - 20 reputation points

Members will now have to submit their threads to be considered for nomination. You have to fill up the following details and reply in this thread.

Minimum requirements:

4. Should be a cricket-based story ONLY

Please feed in the correct details as it will be reviewed and rechecked by the moderators. Incorrect information will result in disqualification.

wow m vaughan good rules PC rocks but what about the previous winners ? will they be in the hall of fame or is it only from September?

but M Waugh's name should be on top of the list as he has won the story of the year .....so he should be also there in Hall Of Fame...... i think in May there was Story of the Year and no story of the month ....am i correct ?? i forgot

when to submit it ? now or in the next month coz i am doing the screens for the next updates ? also if members will submit it now then the whole momth updates will be wasted isn't it ?

My opinion : Members should be asked to submit their threads on last day of the month i.e 31th August and then the mods take 5 -10 days for reviewing it .... and start the story of the month thread at 10th Sep maximum date as 10 days are lot for reviewing .Just an opinion repeat it every month. What do u think sid ?

Yes that is correct. 31st will be the last day for submission. Poll will be put up on the 10th.

now will the stories be nominated according to number of updates ??? coz those who are doing C2005 stories normally have less updates than ICC stories ..... also those who are doing animations they also have less updates than others not doing it .......so how its going to be according to quality or quantity ???

Also one suggestion ....can this rules be implied to Other Game Stories forum as well ... i know there are lots of stories there but there can be max of 10 nominations there in that forum and also the reputation system as well ...the stories there are also amazing one's... what do u think sid ?? its just a suggestion.

It is difficult to use the same rules for the Other Stories forum because it covers a wide range of games, which can be very different from one another.

We will take both quality and quantity into consideration, and one of the reasons why we have asked for the Game Used detail in the submission form, is because the evaluation criteria will be different for different games.

thats the only thing i would change. i dont think its overly necessary to have your real name. the planet cricket id would surfice wouldnt it?
