Suggestion on bans

I think it would be better to post the reason why a member is banned so that people stop asking reasons

Bans, like infractions and post deletions, are considered a matter for the staff and the user concerned.

Good chance it's probably because they pay the bills and we don't... They're not elected representatives, they get to run the place they see it best. I think posting why people are banned is stupid, who cares? Someones dumb enough to get banned, that's pretty much case closed. Given you gotta do some pretty stupid things to get banned here (like, reeeeeaaally stupid) write it off as online natural selection...

But then at least it should be told when they will be back to arrange for replacements for cricket leagues etc. Sorry for representing the leagues section too much, but that's the section I visit the most.

Well my rule is, if that person's banned, I find a replacement. Or if possible, co-manager.

Ideally, we'd love to, but some people don't stick to their ban periods, and force us to extend their bans, at times, indefinitely.
Else, we start getting suggestions on the ban period from other members, which is obviously not required.

Anyways, it's the current system is fine, but there are some cases where the staffies/admins don't reply to messages regarding a ban period

No you just remember never to pick them for your league when they come back, if they come back......especially when they don't even bother to apologise for messing the league up.
