T20 World Cup 2012

Cricket now is mostly about the fascinating short version of the game called T20 cricket. With the T20 World Cup knocking at the door which is to start from the September 18, 2012 in Sri Lanka, the expectations from participating nations from all across the World are humongous. The T20 World Cup schedule has been declared by the ICC which will host 27 matches in the period of September-October this year.

great to see lots of t20 tournaments are going on after this we have clt20 managed by bcci

so india have to face afghanistan and england

Again Bangla are in our way but we will beat them anyway however our batting is not good still we can beat them but thats why we are pakistani it can be opposite too because i have no faith in our batting but still its t20 so we can fancy our batting as well

^as long as bowling is strong enough. Pakistan will be fine. Remember they are the only team to reach all semi-finals and 2 finals

I think we will need to defeat England too along with Afghanistan as our qualification may become difficult if England continue their 2011 WC trend of losing to minnows.

for India in world cups generally the problems coincedentally arise after the group stages

With the format being T20, India can't take Afghanistan lightly at all. An embarrassment is highly likely in T20's no matter which team plays. Hoping both India and England comfortably beat Afghan so that the India-England match doesn't become tense. This format is such that one defeat would be enough to knock out a team.

@Ahmed Yes your right buddy but this t20 format is such anyone can win on the given day and now bangladesh is also a team to watch after their good performance in asia cup but yeah our bowling is too strong

^very right. Pakistan should look to bat first. Or restrict ban to under 140

I am not seeing Pakistan qualifying for the semis this time but they generally do well in WC so we can hope

We need to pack our side full of batsmen, because our bowling is fairly strong, with Saeed Ajmal,Afridi and Gul/Sami rest should be batsmen. If 5th bowler should be Hafeez

Yup and Imran nazir has many fan following here so i think would not be a bad move to select him in this world cup

Hey i think we will call qualify,look at 2009 world cup we were not favourites and finished with t20 champions so i hope we are no more favourites because when that tag joint with pakistan suddenly we not do well,so i would be happy if we not remain favourites and become lesser pressure on our guys to perform

Are they having quarterfinals or just semi finals for this? ie. is it the top of each group in the semis? Or top 2 from each group go into the quarterfinals?
