Was Thaandavam a hit or average run? Box office report of recent films anyone?

The movie's crowd has improved pretty well after they trimmed the movie by 10 or more mins. And also, the initial feedback were mostly from Surya haters (or should I say Vijay and Ajith fans). It's not a bad movie at all. Not a great movie either. Somewhere inbetween.

Thandavam was pretty okay.I liked the film.Offlate tamil films have been very irritating with films like Naan Naan E Saguni Billa2 etc...Thandavam was definitely better than the rest,worth a watch.Vikram did a fantastic job as always.

Naan EE was irritating?!

It was very unrealistic.Worth for the comedy it had maybe but totally defies logic.A fly killing a man!Lol!I do accept you cant expect logic in tamil films offlate but somehow this film was very irritating for me.I personally dint like it.

Its a Sci-Fi film, a fantasy film. When you dream, do you always dream within the realms of reality? You don't. You often have very wild and unrealistic fantasies. Naan-E is something like that.

Hollywood has been living off such films for decades now.

Not sciency fiction really. It has nothing to do with Science. Just a fantasy film with excellent graphics. A technically sound film.

AR Rahman scoring music for Dhanush?! Great then! Hoping a Dhanush lyric song in that album.
Surya is working in the sequel of Singam with Hari.
Arya in Settai (Delhi Belly remake).
Simbu in Vettai Mannan.

Rahman is doing two consecutive films with Dhanush. One is Mariyaan, and the other one is the Hindi film "Ranjhnaa" with Dhanush and Sonam Kapoor.

Surya is also doing "Thuppariyum Anandan" with Gautham Menon (not sure about the title, but he is doing another Gautham film). Sam Anderson in Biriyani, and Powerstar Dr. Sreenivasan in Shankar's "I" (with Vikram, Amy Jackson).

This song is really awesome featuring Jo and Maddy.This film was titled "Love" but never came out and shooting was left midway.Later in some theaters alone the film released with 1st half belonging to this movie..2nd half included Minnale's hindi version.Obviously it was kicked out of the theater.But yes just hoped this film had come out.Maddy and Jo make a sweet couple.
