Text Patch for GTA 3?

I got a geforce 4 agp8x and I can play Gta-Vicecity really well but then I got GTA3, it installed perfectly, the intro was normal but when the main-menu appeared there was no text anywhere.
I clicked on the first box not knowing what it said i went into the game I could see all the graphics and but no text for the map so if anyone knows any patch to fix this could please post under this form. Thanks!!!

You're using XP right? Download a patch from here: http://download.microsoft.com/download/whistler/Patch/Q306676/WXP/EN-US/Q306676_WXP_SP1_x86_ENU.exe
