Hello everyone, we are here at Kandy to witness a thrilling encounter between Lightning Lions and Sri Lanka. Its going to be a tough day for teams , temp is high and sun is shining bright. Pitch report says it?s a dusty one and I don?t think we will have a high scoring game. 250+ will be a decent score to defend here.
Two captains are out there for the toss. Lions won the Toss and elected to Bat first. Well seems like a right decision.
KX and Guddu are out in the ground.
They were way too cautious with there play and did not take any chance but that is the beauty they were able to put 118 runs partnership for the 1st wicket. KX was as usual looking unbeatable but SL had their magic man on the work. Murli struck and Sangakara did not make any mistake taking that ball into the gloves. Guddu and Amiya kept the momentum going. Guddu was dismissed at a score of 78. Both openers played really well for their half centuries. I don?t blame them for slow strike rate. This pitch was never in batsmen?s favor. Giggity and Amiya played their usual game and kept the score board ticking and in the end Lions were able to put 242 on the board with the help of KC and Yudi. In my opinion it?s a score which can be defended but we have to wait and see how Lankans will reply back to this.
