The .gob file

Hi all

I want to make use of some excellent patches available, but I'm having problems installing Sams v2.0 and v3.0

When I installed the game, I copied the original .gob file to my desktop. I then installed Sam's Cricket 2004.exe patch to cure the lineup problems.

However, when I went to install the v2 and v3 patches, I got an error message saying "unknown .gob file version."

So then I copied the original .gob file into the data directory, overwriting the current one, and I still got the same message!

When you're backing up the original .gob file, should you copy to desktop and rename? Its very frustrating, please help!!

The patches have nothing to do with the .exe, are you backing up the cricket_pc.gob file? the 800 meg one
