Asian Super Cup; often and simply known as The Super Cup is an annual playoff-style series of cricket matches organized by Na Maloom Afraad.
The Super Cup replaced the short-lived ACC Asian Champions League as Asia's flagship inter-league club championship, six years after its cancellation.

Modeled primarily after its football counterpart (UEFA Super Cup); The Super Cup is a series of matches played between the very best cricketing clubs in Asia.
With expansions planned, it is currently contested between the winners of Indian One-Day Championship, Haier Cup Pakistan and Amarnath-Kardar Trophy.

FORMAT & QUALIFICATIONS

India & Pakistan's national one-day champions compete in a playoff-like series alongside winners of a joint-venture between the two nations, The Amarnath-Kardar Trophy.

Winners of Indian One-Day Championship play a qualifier game against winners of Haier Cup Pakistan with the victors of that game advancing straight to the final.
Winners of The Amarnath-Kardar Trophy play the losing side from the aforementioned qualifier in a do-or-die eliminator game to determine the second finalists.

Asian Super Cup is primarily modeled after its football counterpart (UEFA Super Cup), and it is often described as "league playoffs without the league" by cricket pundits.​

HOST SELECTION

Hosting rights for The Super Cup are given through a voting system supervised by the Asian Cricket Council.
Each of the competing members for a particular season are entered a direct hosting bid should they formally ensure approval from their respective governments.

Non-participating members of the Asian Cricket Council can submit hosting bids for The Super Cup as 'non-member' entries via the same process.
The voting process is carried out in a meeting specifically convened by the Asian Cricket Council to determine Asian Super Cup hosts.

2022 ASIAN SUPER CUP BIDDING

In May, Asian Cricket Council received a total of 10 host bids from 9 different countries; including 3 automatic 'member' bids from inaugural season participants.
Singapore beat Pakistan by a single vote to win hosting rights for the inaugural season of The Super Cup; Singapore had submitted Kallang to be the host city.​

The Singapore National Stadium is a multi-purpose sports venue in Kallang, Singapore. Opened on 30 June 2014, it was constructed on the site of the former National Stadium, which was closed in 2007 and demolished in 2010. The 55,000-seat facility serves as the home stadium of the Singapore national football team, and is the centerpiece of the Singapore Sports Hub project—a sports and recreation district that also incorporates nearby Singapore Indoor Stadium and other new event venues.

One of the largest dome structures in the world, it features a naturally-ventilated design with a retractable roof, and has configurations for football, rugby, athletics and cricket.
The stadium served as the main venue of the 2015 Southeast Asian Games, and has hosted matches of the AFF Championship in 2014, 2018 and 2021.​

TEAMS

The Super Cup is a series of matches held between List A champions from India & Pakistan; as well as the winners of a joint-venture between the two nations.
Champions from Indian One-Day Championship (India), Haier Cup Pakistan (Pakistan) and Amarnath-Kardar Trophy (joint-venture) earn an entry into The Super Cup.

SQUADS & LINEUPS

Each squad consists of exactly fifteen players; up to six of which can be overseas signings.

Playing XIs can consist of a maximum of four overseas () players.
Playing XIs must contain at least one capable wicket-keeper (//) and five bowling (//) options.
Designated captain () can not be dropped unless injured.

PLAYER CLASHES

Local teams get first refusal on a player clash.

If a clashing player is a local to either team; that team will get first refusal on that player.
If the local side refuses to retain said clashing player; they will be allowed for selection to the other team.
If the local side retains a clashing player; the opposition will be allowed one automatic retention granted it isn't another local clash.

TIED MATCHES

Super Over is a tie-breaking method where both teams play a single, additional over of six balls to determine the winner of a tied-match.

PLAYER INJURIES

Injuries are randomly simulated to give this league somewhat of a realistic edge.
Players that play without a rest are more likely to get injured.

Following are the types of injuries:

* Can play with a 25% ratings decrease; 50% chance of developing a Degree 2 Injury
— Heals fully after a one game rest

Degree 2

* Can play with a 50% ratings decrease; 75% chance of developing a Degree 3 Injury
— Heals fully after a two game rest

Degree 3

* Out for one game; instantly made unavailable
— Will play one game with a 50% ratings decrease upon return. Heals fully after a two game rest.

Degree 7

Ruled out for the season
— Player is permanently ruled out for selection
