The trend is in and it has taken the world by storm. Everyone wants thick edges but at what expense of the performance of the bat? I will not lie, thick edges are far more better looking, but speaking to a number of world's best bat makers I have come to find out that thicker edges actually take away from the size of your sweet. It does not make it any weaker, it merely makes it smaller. This is not a problem for batsmen who tend to play the ball off the edge a lot more, but it takes an acquired skill to middle it so what kind of player are you? So what what do you prefer thin or thick edges?
