I remember when cricket discussion was filled with discussion and your topic would be on the 2nd page before too long. Now something that was posted 2 days ago is still the last post sometimes. RIP planetcricket you stopped living the moment Australian cricket died. 2000s-2008

I thought dieing was die and dying was dying your hair.
"He started dying after dyeing his hair."

On the substance, you'll be able to find someone to say PC died in every year since we started. The site is 10 years old now, naturally people are going to move on as discussion and demographics shift.

CW's way more active tho, but even the discussions there are kinda dull after a point, seem to be looping over and over about how statistics aren't enough to judge cricketers, but neither is skill, how do you quantify skill, taking account performances in different conditions, comparing between eras, etc. etc. etc. Almost inevitably leads to a dead end which makes it impossible to do comparisons.

Which is also all they seem to talk about there, atleast atm. Comparing different players. Lara vs. Viv, Sobers vs. Imran, Waugh vs. Border, Warne vs. Waugh as captains, etc.

It gets rather dire around there :spy

They also have a lot of spam, where people are just posting laughs about a comment or something similar.

I personally think the site is doing just fine.

The site may be going through a tough phase but it is not dieing, dyeing or dying.

Cricketweb is a pile of crap. Either nonsense ambiguous posts or overly detailed and holier than thou rants.

Lol.

Well, it's kinda fact. A lot more older people on that forum, guys who've watched so much more cricket and know the game better, compared to here, which consists mostly of teenagers and young adults, majority Indian.

CW's kinda Aussie-biased tho.

It is a shame really. People were saying it'll (PC) get more popular with the Ashes but unfortunately this hasn't occured.

PC isn't dying. It's still better than some of those forum which seem like ghost-lands.

Incidentally, the leagues section is doing better than average.
