Looks like some have got the game before release day, but has the latest patch been updated ? They are posting videos of their gameplay. It’s good to show the gameplay videos. But Without latest patch (if any) others (a few) are reading too much into little things from these videos. It shouldn’t bring any negative vibes to the game.

Up till now Beta testers were done a wonderful job to showcase the game last week. @BigAntStudios has done a wonderful job.

So any comment or observations shall not demean their efforts but be constructive. Before that let’s ensure if the latest patch is updated for all those who got the game.

The day 1 patch is available for PS4 and Xbox One.

Available yes, but I suspect the main point is that if you're watching video you can't always tell whether that particular user has updated.

Yes.... but not everyone waits to download it before playing, recording, uploading.... and not letting people know

Am I right in assuming that XBOX and PS do not work in the same way as Steam does with respect to auto updating content? If I recall correctly, Steam doesn't let users launch a game unless its updated, right?

I disagree with you mate. Even Fifa 08 ( Fifa being possibly the most popular sports game) looks good in terms of graphics but has evolved so much over the years as Dbc is evolving.



Irritating voice??!! You my friend obviously have no clue about what a good commentator is! Slater is good but Mark Nicholas is the best out there amongst a couple of others.

Dude it’s my opinion, I didn’t like his commentary after a while. Prefer Michael Slater.

You can run offline with Console - there is no way to force update.

Not fully. You can pause a PS4 update and still play the game, but the online features don’t work unless you update.

That's unfortunate. Wish Mircosoft and Sony came up with a way to counter this. Perhaps an obstructive notification bar stickied to the top of the screen that says something like "There is a new update for your game available. Please download it to be abreast with the latest content."

This way even if someone is recording on an unpatched version, that notification would be visible in the recording too.

If the console is offline how can the console even detect if the game needs an update? For me, when an update comes I most certainly download it...

You can run offline with Console - there is no way to force update.

Tbh, it would be pretty stupid for someone to simply skip an update to play the game. He won’t get to play with fixed issues and will spend his own time getting angry/writing on forums. When there’s an update, just update before playing!!!

I think a better idea would be to put the version number on screen (somewhere small and in the corner not blocking other UI elements) so everyone knows what version the game was on which the video was made!

What would be even better if people lucky enough to get the game early on PS4 also respected the embargo and held fire on showing things!
