cannot wiat mate brilliant story and cliffhanger of the century there!
awesome story Highlander, just wondering if you have Baker's first class averages somewhere in the thread?
Yesterday there were two games in Division 2 of the Pro45 League. Kent v Leicstershire and Yorkshire v Somerset.
At Canterbury, a very low scoring game ensured that it would be a tight match. Kent batting first were only able to make 113 All Out after Gibson destroyed their top order. With such a small total to defend Kent would always be in trouble and although Kent did bowl well Leicstershire were easily able to make the runs of 31 overs. Once again the rookie Tom Baker bowled very well, picking up 2 wickets and only going for 19 runs of his 9 overs.
Yorkshire made a very strong start to the season, however they were not able to maintain it at home to Somerset. With Somerset being asked to bat first, they were able to amass a very competitive score of 252, in conditions which looked to favour the bowlers. With such a daunting task ahead of them, the Yorkshire top order collapsed and it was only the middle order which saved them from being soundly thrashed.
Now let's take a look a the table in Divison 2.
At the moment Somerset are leading the table with a 100% win record. The Foxes also have won their 2 games but slip to second on net run-rate. Third to Sixth all have 4 points with Kent leading the pack on run-rate. The Bears bring up the rear of the table but still have a game in hand while Durham have lost their two opening games and will be looking to change their fortunes. Scotland still have yet to play a game.
