A slight issue people. We suffered a power cut last night while I was playing '05. I thought nothing of it and went to bed. Now whenever I even load '05 it crashes. I can guarantee it is nothing to do with any edited files as I haven't fiddled with it for ages. Does anyone have any idea what has happened as I was in the process of saving when the power failure happened. When it crashes no error message comes up it just sends me back to the Windows selcome screen. If this has mucked up my story I am going to be bloody annoyed

We had a powercut to. At around 10:15 until 11:00. That's quite strange. Maybe it's worth moving all your cricket05 files to another folder. Un-install the game and re-install the game, then replace all the files back.

well id like to help but i don't know what you can do , but if you can't fix the problem don't start another story just start a new game or something like that if its possible.....

Well I tried treva's idea and it didn't work I have had to uninstall i on treva's advice but it didn't work it is still crashing it. However I can start a new game and it works fine, it's just all the save game files :

There were power cuts all over the UK. I had 6 in total. Really strange... but I don't know what to do about the crashing im afraid. I do hope you get it sorted cos I love reading this story!!

I think the power cut has corrupted the file, which I guess corrupts when you are using the file and the whole computer turns off. I'm really not sure how you can get it back.

My best suggestion is autoplay up to the game vs Gloucestershire and just pretend that the results were how you got in the 1st few games you played. That means you'll just have to record stats and tables yourself...
