Ok, this is silly, I am playing as Nottinghamshire in County Championship, using Sam's Exe and Ravi's Latest Patch, 9B I believe, and playing on Medium difficulty. So in my first one day match against Northants, I win the toss and decide to bat. In the first 12 overs Northants concede 48 wides and 52 byes!. I then autoplay the rest of my innings, and they then only concede 1 wide and no byes in the next 27 overs! This can't be right, is anyone else having this problem, or should I be using a different patch? Any help or comments would be greatly appreciated.

For one I never run if it is a bye opportunity as a result of my playing a shot and padding it.

As for the wides a never get so many bowled against me.

Guess Im one of the lucky ones.

Actually more often than not a ball that should be a wide doesnt get called.

I am playing on hard though.

How can the pitch be responsible for a bowler bowling 48 wides? I didn't run any, they all went to the boundary. And don't forget, this was after only 12 overs, if I had carried on manually playing the other 38 overs, heaven knows how many wides and byes there would have been.

On hard pitches the ball always goes over the keepers head (fast bowlers), on dusty pitches the spinners bowl heaps of wides

Ok, I can accept that pitch conditions could cause a few wides/byes but really, 48 wides and 52 byes in 12 overs!!! This just isn't realistic in first class cricket, and as I said before that was only after 12 overs.

I didn't say it was reasonable, I just told you why it's happening :)
