I'm going with Bird. Not just a good umpire, but a good laugh too, instead of some of the super-serious umpires of modern cricket.

That's not the Dickie Bird I've seen then. If he thought it was out, he gave it out.

Bucknor would be on my list of worst Umpires ever.

Tauffel is prolly the best at the moment. I like Aleem(sp) Dar, he isn't scared to make decisions and is more inclined to give a spinner an LBW decision.

Why not Venkataraghavan when you had included (of all people) Bucknor and Dickie Bird?

My apologies for not including Srinivas Venkatraghavan, but you can always give your opinion of Srinivas Venkatraghavan being one of the best umpire by posting a message....

That's a pretty derogatory statement. He was on the elite panel of umpires. To make such a statement is uncalled for.

1.Mark Benson - England

2.Billy Doctrove - West Indies

3.Asad Rauf - Pakistan

India's S.Venkatraghavan was a decent one.Though Dickie Bird, Simon Toufel and David Shepherd are my favourites.Aleem Dar of Pakistan is a good one too.
