Unable to save created players and teams

I created a new team with few new created players. I was able to play a couple of matches with them. I saved the competition and exited the game. But when I started the game again I can't find my players or the team but the competition which was saved still exists along with the created players. But I can't find the players or the team out of that particular saved competition. Can anyone help me on this issue?
