Now why precisely should Aussie batsmen walk exactly?? And why is the onus seemingly always on us to walk when the highest run scorer of all time refuses to walk?

I think batsmen should walk, but its no-ones fault either way.

Mark Benson is planning to retire from umpiring with immediate effect following his sudden withdrawal from the Adelaide Test. The Sunday Times has reported Benson was upset over several incidents involving the Umpire Decision Review System on day one of the second Test between Australia and West Indies, one of which led to his original decision being overturned.

It seems that umpires aren't in favour of the system or at least Benson is against it. I hope we don't see more umpires quiting because of the referal system.

That's a bit rash I reckon, but I can definitely see why they would do it.

Hopefully as mdoggie said they won't feel they're now useless and give it up!

unless the review system is up to the NFL stander, there is no point of having it. and "Ponting" acts and whines should be fined heavily, or else there will always be complains and crap even after the reviews. then what they gonna do? set a review system for the review?

and they need to make sure its not biased towards the higher ranked teams.

Review system is good. Yes there are still the odd problem but those will be sorted in time. The system is better for the game imho. The only issue I have is with the system being used in all series and all the technology available in all regions.
