Hi

Is there any suggestion that weather changes during a 4 or 5 day match?

E.g. could you start a test match in cloudy, humid conditions on day 1 and finish with blue skies and high temperature by day5?

From what I have seen, the weather and pitch conditions will remain the same for each day of a multi-day game. Shame really, as that would make initial decisions more relevant. "It's a hard pitch, but overcast today so maybe I should bowl as it looks like being sunny for the rest of the game".

Can always "randomise" the weather and change manually using the savtweak editor.

just use savetweak to change it, it makes it much more fun :)

how do you base your views for changeing it? For example before you start the match do you say right after day 3 it will be overcast to make it fair and not give your team an advantage? Or do you just change it when you see fit?

I think before you start the game you should choose what conditions you want for every day of play. Then force yourself to change the conditions after each day with Savtweak.
For example: If you have chosen wet for the 2nd days play and you are batting, you have to make yourself keep it that way.
Don't give yourself any unfair advantage.

I agree. That's what I will be doing for my current series after this game is completed. I will use the default for day 1 and then randomise weather conditions appropriate for the ground by using dice / coin toss etc. I will keep the pitch condition the same, although may make a green or damp pitch into a normal one after the first day or so.

My my...the pains ppl are taking in making this s**t playable...lol

heres a 5 day setup i use a lot:

DAY ONE:
------------
PITCH: Hard (good batting pitch to start)
WEATHER: Coudy/hot

DAY TWO:
------------
PITCH: Dry (exposed to the sun and dried out a bit)
WEATHER: Grey/Cool

DAY THREE:
------------
PITCH: Wet (as if it rained overnight)
WEATHER: Sunny/Warm

DAY FOUR:
------------
PITCH: Normal (dried up a bit)
WEATHER: Cloudy/Warm

DAY FIVE:
------------
PITCH: Green (the grass has grown a bit)
WEATHER: Cloudy/Hot

These conditions in order made the perfect match for me:
DAY ONE: Wet, Grey, Cold
DAY TWO: Damp, Overcast, Cool
DAY THREE: Green, Overcast, Mild
DAY FOUR: Normal, Sunny, Hot
DAY FIVE: Dry, Sunny, Hot & Humid

Just have a look at some matches from around the world and copy what the conditions are or were.

Mimic what the pitches do in real life.

If that doesnt work nomitate a number for each selction on a D4 or D6 what ever takes your fancy and role for a random selection then change with save tweak.
