Yeah it's gonna all be in their head this chase. Windies just scored over 300 runs on this pitch. If wickets go down, just how much have Bell/Prior moved on from the winter. How will Bairstow cope with the pressure? In a weird way, be quite interesting to see some wickets and Bairstow have to come in with 60 odd needed. See if he can see it through.

I'd promote Bairstow up a place or two, he could be worst affected if I'm right in thinking he's down at six which is now down to seven.

It's a long lower order but anyone reading 100/5 will still be hard pressed to see beyond the fact that it's still only five wickets to go even if there is a batsman and decent batting left to come. Only takes one ball to take one wicket, doesn't matter if it's the opener or the number 11

uh oh, not so hot to Trott. No doubt it will be peanut in next, another wicket quickly and we're in deep doo doo. Only takes KP to try and stamp his authority which pays off every how many innings? 20? 30?

Even though one is a tailender, 29/3 is about a third or less off where England would like to be. (runs wise obviously)

It's not a situation England have done well in historically especially with fired up bowlers but it's still a good pitch and I don't think the Windies have enough quality.

It,s not the same as days gone by but it is good seeing West Indian bowlers steaming in with a bit of aggression and passion

Even with a spinner, it's a Lord's pitch, it wouldn't deteriorate if you grew it in Chernobyl!

After losing some early wickets, I'd be much more confident in England losing if a top class spinner was coming on from one end. As it was, I don't really think Windies are the sort of side to force a win, and England at home against a seam attack is hardly like to not knock off these runs.

Yeah, but batting is hardly easy when every run increases the possibility of long term cancer

aaah, but chernobyl has to be constantly watered (to prevent lakes and moisture evaporating radioactive material into the atmosphere) so it could be a green top seamers paradise.
