If you want the equivalent of the PS2 controller, then get a Logitech Dual Action pad like this (see below). I have one and it works beautifully with Crciket 2005. The button configuration is set up perfectly unlike with my Sidewinder which is a nightmare for hitting sixes.

Yep, I have a Logitech Dual Action Gamepad and it is very good. The game is designed to work perfectly with it. No need to change any controls and it is pretty cheap too. U can also update the drivers from the official site.
