Which foreign player would complete your national side

England need Kallis. No Flintoff = no all-rounder = lack of balance in the team.

Over 10,000 runs. 250+ Wickets, and over 400 catches.

Actually any team could use a guy like him.

Fatal Shot added 0 Minutes and 26 Seconds later...

People can't digest that he's just as good as Sachin in tests :laugh.

He's better

Dravid for India - absolutely integral as he's always been Mr. Dependable at number 3. It is very hard to find quality number 3 players, who can go weather a storm and go on to make big runs and Dravid is just that. He is the eye of the storm - the one calm and collected player in a sea of talented stroke makers.

Sachin is simply a genius. As a player I'd say Sachin is def. better, but for their roles in team India, Dravid is just as important to the side.

Yes. I think Dravid has been a shade better to Sachin in Tests. He might not have the numbers of Sachin, but that is mostly because he holds an end up, doesn't really go after the opposition, occupies the crease and sets the game up for the batsmen to the follow. Rahul will be in my team over anyone really. :)

Agreed with Nick there. England can do a good job with Kallis.

So what, Vettori is still miles above him and can bat a lot better

I wasn't claiming that he was just as good as Sachin in tests :sarcasm, Sachin is a pure genius and is hands down the better batsman. When it comes to value in our batting lineup, Dravid is just as valuable as Sachin. Dravid has displayed his value to our batting lineup emphatically and most of his greatest innings have come when India were under great pressure.

I was just answering your question... ("what's there to hate about him?") Sachin may be the better batsman overall but I truly believe Dravid is the better test batsman.

Aah sorry, I took it the wrong way.

but that wasnt my point though. i wasnt comparing him with Vettori. my point was that even their spin attack is decent now days, when they are known for crap spin department. its not about Vettori

Word when Ajantha mendis came on to the scene, everybody nodded they'd love to have him in their XI. Interesting what it'll be now.

not the current 1, but the 1 from 1st 19 ODI with 50 wickets, and when he was so mysterious

Bump

Thought this would be a fun exercise for the current World Twenty20

any thoughts?

Well for Australia, how about players that have retired?
Ponting in for Clarke
Warne in for Smith
and maybe Symonds in for one of the Husseys

Taadaa - awesome T20 team. :banana2

More seriously if I'm picking one hole - a good spinner would be the biggest weakness for Aus at present probably. Vettori would be a good guy to have, maybe Afridi if you want more explosive batting potential.

Well, Steyn, Nannes or Tait would be nice. Spinners and batsmen are covered. That said, wouldn't mind Shane Watson.

Pakistan more than anyone need one decent consistent batsman.
