Chapter - 1
Nov, 14, 2013
Tendulkar's 200th test

attachment.php

We were in front of a 40 inch Bravia before a TV showroom, suddenly the whole crowd was muted... After a few seconds we realised that the era ended. My vision blurred and I was not alone. There was a little boy behind me who wasn't aware of it. He tried to jump higher than my shoulder to check what happened. I left that place.

I slowly walked to my home.
Suddenly I heard a drum and flute music. I looked behind to see and my mind said "Er, it's your phone take it up!"

"Hi Pulee, let's meet in park in the evening"
"Sure". The call ended. My lips forced a slow smile.
I was unsure what to do, to be happy or not, a mixed feeling.

Chapter - 2 A Lovely Meet
November 14, 2013

bench.jpg

My foots started to walk towards the park as if attracted by a magnet.
I thought, "Yes, finally meeting her alone after a long time!!!"
Yeah, she's my angel.
Slowly I walked towards the chair she was sitting. Her dress was beautiful and she was more beautiful. My hairs straightened.
Her lips curved down and I was killed by her smile.
"Hello Sweety"
"What's the time now?"
"Ah leave it., what are these books?"
Her eyebrows raised.
"Aha, a problem for me..."
"What's the time now?", she repeated.
"Sorry dear, my street match took time to end"
Her eyes showed a 'are you serious' expression.
"What are these books?"
"I had to lie to my dad that I gonna study with my friend. He has been keeping a close eye on me since we met last time."
"So, how's college?"
"Pretty good, got a few friends there. They always call me 'Lee'"
"Are you serious? How come they know about me?"
"I said about you to my close friend. From then my name changed to Lee" :p
"I love you"
She smiled.
"I love you too..."
She came closer and our discussion ended when she kissed me in my cheek. *feeling awesome*

You should be lucky that there was no serious fight there, then you would have to find excuse for her, your dad & your coach if you happen to go late because of late hanging out. :D

By the way, very good luck for this career. Nice to see another story coming up here in story forums. :cheers

Chapter - 3 The First Sight

After her kiss, I felt that James LaBrie's Euphoric was written for me. I wanted to stay with her.
*Tweet tweet SMS*. I checked my phone, "dinner's ready". It was the message.
"Oh my God! It's late. I don't want my dad to wait for me."
I left her soon. As I walked, my thoughts waved and I asked myself how I met her.

Two years ago...
Inter-School Cricket League Final

We came a long way there. That was the first time we had come to the final.
Last wicket partnership, we needed 5 of 6 balls..
I was in the non-striker end, my partner took a single.
We needed 4 of 5.

backlift_fwd_step.jpg

Tok, tok, tok, I was ready with my backlift.

Krishna was the bowler, my rival. He lifted his hand, showed a gesture like 'cutting the neck' and told 'FINISH'.
I smiled and thought, "Let my bat do the talking."
My boys cheered me up, "Puleee, Puleee, Puleee, Puleee, Puleee...."

In the midst of cheer, my ears heard a voice, "Krishhhhnaaaa..."
I saw a girl, she was in the opponent's school uniform.
"Woowwwww......!." My eyes didn't move for a moment.
I heard a voice inside me, "Pulee, what are you doing?"
Krishna came near the crease like a fast forward...
"Okay Pulee, cool, now face the ball" that was the command to my hands.
I slowly drived the ball to the cover, it went near the boundary and we took a double.
I heard that voice again, "Krishhhnaaa, FINISH HIM!!"
I saw her again for a few seconds.
"Pulee, wake up now! Concentrate..."
He came near me and told, "Haha, time to leave the pitch, kid"
"Yeah, with a victory ;)"
Then started his run-up, I got to it with a huge backlift in advance. The ball went to the boundary and I cried, "YEAAHHHHH!"
I did it, we won. Our boys celebrated.

"WAIT! Why my partner looks sad? Why are the opponents celebrating our victory? Why is she celebrating? What happened?"
"What? I just imagined that I hit it?"
I turned back. The wicket keeper was holding the ball. I realized that I edged the ball. *facepalm*

question-blue-240x300.jpg

I questioned myself why we lost. "Was my concentration the reason behind my failure? Or my aggressiveness? Or the pressure? Or the beauty?"
"Well, it was the beauty that killed my game".

Chapter - 4 That's how it all started - Part 1

I was not too enthusiastic, I could still feel the emptiness.
"Happy birthday Shankar", they sang and the candles were off.
I cut a piece and suddenly realised he was not near me.

The birthday party went well with a few friends around me.
When they were about to leave, Patel tempted,
"Ahem....Didn't you invite Pulee?"
"GET LOST", I said and they got away.
My lips curved down and the eyebrows too.
Phew.... What did I do? Why did I show my anger at him?

I still remember my last birthday with him, the best day of my life. I closed my eyes so that my tears don't flow down.
I don't miss him, it's sad that he lost a good friend. :noway

Uggh Mathematics again. Let me lie down and take a nap.
Zzzzzzzzzz Zzzzz
"Good morning miss" said the whole class in chorus.
*Make hay while the sun shines, sleep now*
"Good morning students, sit down. Let's deal with matrices today. All take your classwork note and book."
"Who's there sleeping?"
"It's Shankar ma'am."
"What happened?"
"Head-ache ma'am"
"Ok, so what do you guys know about a matrix?"
*started to sleep asap*

"Wake up da. Soan papdi soan papdi"
"Soan papdi?"
"Give it in my hands, I'll eat it"
"Hey it's our principle da get up!"
When my eyes opened, I saw Hitler in the form of Devaraj, our principle.
"Good morning. Monthly test starts tomorrow. You MUST SCORE above 90%. Dare to face me if you are absent! I'LL CUT YOUR LIMBS. YOU MUST ATTEND THE TEST!!!" threatened soan papdi.
*I didn't knew soan papdi was this bitter.*
1 hour nap and principal's threatening were more than enough for a sleepless night.
I saw Ram alias Pulee's eyes which portrayed 'what-are-we-gonna-do' expression.

Readers, Ram and Shankar haven't prepared for the exams yet. They won't even pass the exams. So how will they escape the situation? Predict their past and win vcash prize!

You will get a call to play a match. :D

RP - one request is, as this forum has members outside our India, they won't be able to get 'da' and 'cut the limbs' context. ;) I am getting the lingo of our country but cutting limbs will sound so rude & cruel for other country's standards from a teacher. :p

Good going, keep it up!
