12:00 Pm Report

Maher Golden, Kruger Diamond, Queensland In Trouble

Queensland have collapsed to be 4/41 after the first hour of New Zelands world tour. The tour started perfectly for the Kiwis with the very first ball off Cairns being edged by Maher and Caught by spinner Daniel Vettori. Test Batsman Martin Love walked out but unfortunetly due to some stunning fielding Kruger was run out without facing a ball. Love and Carseldine built a mini recovery with a 30 run partnership before Carseldine was out as plumb as you like LBW. Perren joined Love and just missed being caught off his second ball but when the score was 41 he was eventually caught by the same fielder who dropped him Mark Richardson.
Nash has joined Martin Love

Queensland all out before lunch

Queensland have crashed to be all out for 129 in the 28th over, with most batsman struggling to pass ten on a pitch with a green tinge and the ball moving off the seam as if Warnie was spinning it edges were plentiful with excellent fielding ensuring 2 runouts. Only a fighting 78 from Martin Love saved the Bulls from total embarrasment. Cairns was the pick of the bowlers with 3 for 41, Vettori 2 for 29 and Tuffey, Styris and Bond all chipping in with 1 at economical figures.

Kiwis crawl to tea

New Zealand have crawled to tea with the score at 1/51 after 28 overs. After losing Richardson with the score at 6, Steven Fleming joined Sinclair and after getting off the mark well enough put up the guard after 10 overs scoring only 15 runs in 18 overs and 12 in the hour before tea. But with the pitch showing some green grass it is assisting the paceman with Kasprovwichz the best bowler after 14 overs with 8 maidens and 1/23. Noffke and Brant assisting him.

You know you only have 5 days on your tests. At this rate the players will be retired by the end of the tour. LOL

Green pitch and new ball make for some serious movement, its past the 41st over now so my run rate is beginning to build back up. Sinclair hit a six in the 8th over and DID NOT SCORE again until the 40th over ah god bless guys like Hayden and Gilchrist

Day 1 Report

Fleming, Kiwis finally get going

New Zealand have batted it out to stumps with Stephen Fleming and Matthew Sinclair still together with hte score at 1/117 after 57 overs. Although it might sound slow the Kiwis finally got going just before stumps with Fleming hitting a towering six in the second last over followed by a smashing four to bring up his fifty. Sinclair is crawling along but FINALLY hit another boundry as he made his way to 44 runs at stumps. The day started brilliantly for the kiwis with the bulls all out before lunch.

Hey its more realistic than your 600 before lunch. LOL.

But I must admit the pitch must only be green because he is watching the grass grow.
