I'll post some squads tommorow but just looking over them I'd agree with a lot of your selections.

Van Bommel? - Lampard thanks.

Ibrahimivic - LMAO. I'm sorry, he's a slightly less skillful Peter Crouch. The people that call him world class are the same people that think Terry is world Class.

Terry? Vidic ANYDAY. Terry is exposed by any pace and anyone that can head a ball like Saha.

Are you serious? Ibrahimovic is one of the most skilled forwards there is. Crouch is a tool, Ibrahimovic is God compared to him. Id have Ibrahimovic in my XI any day.

Also War, I wouldn't mind seeing Dzeko in the XI over lets say Anelka. He has been lighting up the Bundesliga the last 2 years.

=/ Anelka picked ahead of David Villa in the Europe team?

As far as an XI goes, for Europe I'd go for something like:

---------------------------Casillas-------------------------------
---Ramos--------Ferdinand---------Puyol-------------Evra----
---------------------Gerrard------Xavi---------------------------
------Ronaldo-------------Iniesta------------Rooney-----------
----------------------------Torres--------------------------------

Not ideal having Rooney on the left, but he has to play as he's been in such fantastic form this season. Had to pick Iniesta too, huge fan of him, think he's brilliant to watch. Not too fussed about whether my team is necessarily the best team on paper, but man they'd be great to watch. Forget defensive midfielders, don't need them, just score more goals than the opposition.

I'd picked Van Bommel because i wanted a quality defensive mid-fielder. Europe lacking quality defensive mid-fielders these days. All the good one's seem to be from Africa :laugh

Very harsh on Zlatan that. I watch him also every other week for Barca he really is top-class. Struggle to see how you could doubt my friend..

Yea Vidic probably is better than JT. But English bias makes put him & Rio as the two centre-halves.:thumbs

Yea dont hate on Vidic, one of the main reasons Serbia allowed so few goals in the WC qualifying.

Dare added 2 Minutes and 56 Seconds later...

---------------------Gerrard------Xavi---------------------------
------Ronaldo--------------------------------Rooney-----------
---------------------Ibrahimovic---------Torres-----------------------

Something like that for me.

I dont see Bundeslinga here in England so i have never heard of Dzeko before. But he seems pretty good just searching his name on wiki. He probably needs to leave germany & play in the premiership or La Liga before once can talk about him as amongst the best strikers in Europe to be fair. Since you really can't pick him over Villa, Rooney, Zlatan, Anelka ATS.

He was chased by many teams this year but he chose to resign with Wolfsburg. ManU, Barca, Chelsea and a few other teams were after him but he stayed in Germany.
Yea it might be a bit early to put him in the XI, Zlatan and Rooney are much better options.

It's just whenever I've seen him he's been crap. I don't like the fact some have called him the best player in the world. He's nowhere near.

I think when picking these squads/XI's once should consider longevity & current season form - rather than just current season form.

He was probably the best forward in Italy for at least 3 years. For such a tall player he has great control of the ball and is obviously a threat from corners and free kicks.

I used to think like this. But Spain winning Euro 2008 kind of changed my position on this & made me realize how important having a quality defensive midfielder (especially if they are of the Vieira/Keane quality) can be even in a team of super skilled mid-fielders.

Before Spain won Euro 2008 IIRC, Spain under Luis Aragones was struggling to decide to structure his mid-field with so much talent/skill players in the X-Men, Fabregas, Iniesta, Silva to choose from. But then he got Marcos Senna into the squad to harden the mid-field, thus leaving of Fabregas & Alonso. While Senna then went on to become argubably Spain's best player in that tournament.

So i dont think we should undervalue how important a quality DM can be modern day football.

Yo War whats with the love for Carvalho. The dude is average at best. Could name 5 better defender then he him just in English football.
Lucio, Puyol, Mertesacker, Vidic and a few others would be in easy over him.
