yahoo has surprised, me atleast, with their offering.I never thought they would install these features in their IM.

it has also been personalised for many other countries, so make usre u download the personalised one.

I would give it a shot, since I have so many contacts both on yahoo and MSN

Correct Prakash. I saw on one of the pages when downloading Yahoo 8.0 that feature is coming soon. Plus I haven't seen it in Yahoo 8. Also the add ins don't seem to connect to the page.

It writes that the MSN and YM feature will be released soon, its not rite now in the YM 8.0. and some days ago also windows live messenger asked me to update in order to continue and after it installed it showed the same thing, this new feature with MSN and YM.

coinciding with the MSn release, yahoo has also incorporated the ability for yahoo people to contact MSN.

Thats old news now i have added Yahoo 8 Beta in my site a month ago and added it in my signature so that peoples can know and use new messenger, but overall have to say to stick with yahoo 7.5 latest release cuz yahoo 8 is the most buggy messenger among all yahoo versions.

Right, I downloaded Yahoo 8, and it does say contact your Windows live friends. I have an account in both and so I logged on in both. I went to Yahoo and said Add a Contact, typed my email address. Then it asks which network is the contact in - Yahoo or Microsoft LCS. I went for Microsoft LCS as it is a hotmail account. It says finished and my hotmail account has been added to my Yahoo ID but I didn't get any invitation from Yahoo in my MSN account, and I'm not able to communicate???

How do you do the inter-network chat?

I have read somewhere that u have to register somewhere in Hotmail's site other then Email address or something like that to fill a form, then u will be able to add Yahoo & Hotmail ID's in new yahoo messenger, but dont know what exact was the link cuz till that time i had uninstalled yahoo so didnt tried it.

As u know yahoo 8 is in its beta version so there are lot of bugs there, and about freezing if u have any plugins installed then try to remove them, and any extra tabs which u dont need like stock market or weather etc., it might be helpful
