Hey guys here is a ashes cricket 09 text editing tutorial. :yes

This tutorial just patches the text you get on the main screen and sub screens, still working on team replacement and stadiums.

Requirements:

Notepad
Big Editor

Tutorial:

1.Open the Big Editor and navigate to AC09/gdata/gdata.wad/global/locale/frontend.

2.There you will find a file named "english.csv". Extract the file in the exact format the file comes in "csv".

3.Open the file with notepad not any other software like excel. :noway

4.There you will see for example "IDS_PRESS_START_BUTTON","PRESS START BUTTON", . The IDS line is the line in the game you want to replace - DO NOT replace that line. The second line is the one which actually gives you game text, you can replace the second line with whatever you like.

5.After you have finished make sure you save the file with Notepad and then just replace it with Big Editor. Load the game and your text will be changed :yes

6.An example english.csv file will be attached.

A tutorial for editing credits.

1.Open Big Editor and navigate to AC09/ui/ui.wad/ui . There you will find a file named credits.csv . Follow the same extraction process from the first post.

2.Open the file with Excel (It is my prefered program but you can use Notepad aswell.) In there right on top you will see some headings. DO NOT REPLACE. Underneath there's some text you can replace all this text with anything you like. The Heading will be the line submitted in the box ontop of the credits. From special1 to name14 will be all the lines of text you can add to the game. :yes

3.Save the file. Make sure the script you save it in says comma delimited. Import it and you have changed credits!
