The Hong Kong Cricket Sixes is a 12-team international cricket tournament held at 4 different venues in Hong Kong. The tournament is fully sanctioned by the International Cricket Council.

The tournament is made for television, with rules and venues that encourage aggressive batting and high scoring.

The match format of this tournament is 'six-a-side'. Each team can field six players in a game, and every player (except the wicket-keeper) is required to bowl one over.

This is the main reason why this format suits all-rounders.

The current season might as well act as the perfect practice base for the players heading out for the ICC World Twenty20 in India, next April.

Participating nations are bound to find some exciting talent that might be considered for the World Twenty20.​

RULES

The Laws of cricket apply, except​
  • Games are played between two teams of six players, and each game consists of a maximum of five six-ball overs bowled by each side
  • The number of players in a squad are ten, and no more then six players are allowed in a line-up
  • There can only be one wicket keeper in the squad
  • Each player should know how to bowl except the wicket keeper
  • Each member of the fielding side bowls one over, with the exception of the wicket-keeper
  • A tournament points system awards four points for each match won

RULES & REGULATIONS

LINE-UP RULES
You can have a maximum of 6 players in Your line-up. A maximum of one wicket keeper is allowed in the line-up. All of the remaining five players must be eligible for bowling in the line-up.

POINTS SYSTEM
4 Points are awarded for a win, 2 points are awarded for a tie/draw/no result. No point will be awarded for a loss.

PRIZE MONEY
Have not decided yet.

INJURIES
A player can go down with injury any time during the league. A player is effected by international injuries only. The player that is affected by an injury is chosen similarly and has the chances of picking the following degrees of injury.
The injury of that player can be of the following types.

Degree 1
Can play with a rating drop (1) and heals in one game. (50% chance of occurring)

Degree 2
Can play with a rating drop (2) and heals in two games, however has a 50% chance of picking up a Degree 3 injury; if rested heals in one game. (25% chance of occurring)

Degree 3
Out for three games. (15% chance of occurring)

Degree 4
Out for the rest of the season. (10% chance of occurring)
