Road to the Final
Australia:-
The Aussies started off their campaign with a terrible defeat of 25 runs against the team they're facing in the final, Sri Lanka that is. Their second game was against India which they easily won by 6 wickets. Their last game was against their brothers, New Zealand in which they cruised to victory with 2 balls remaining and finished second in the group. They had qualified for the quarter-finals where they were about to meet their arch-rivals, England. The team looked solid after the last two games of the group, but, all of the burden was on Hodge's shoulders, the likes of Glenn Maxwell & Daniel Christian were failing to fire and eventually got demoralized, but, the tables turned and Maxwell scored a century against England in the quarter-final which snatched victory from the jaws of defeat. Their semi-final opponents, South Africa were the toppers of Group A, but they choked big time, the South Africans that is, they lost the game from a winnable position due to which, Australia is in the final and are set to play Sri Lanka and are ready to take revenge of the defeat in their opener, but will they?
Sri Lanka:-
If you have read Australia's road to final then you'd certainly know how Sri Lanka started off their campaign, but the thing you don't know is that they defeated New Zealand in their second game which ended with Thisara Perera hitting a six on the last ball to seal the deal for Sri Lanka, however, they lost their last game of the group stages against India by a decent margin of 7 runs. They topped the group and secured their place in the Semi Final where they were set to meet Pakistan. The semi final was unbelievably good with Dilshan Munaweera hitting a boundary off the last ball to tie the game. The match was then decided in a Super Over in which they were victorious by a mere margin of 3 runs. It has been all Senanayake and Thisara Show for them, but Kusal Perera has also been contributing to them considerably enough. The Sri Lankans are set to play the Aussies knowing that they have beaten them once and can certainly do that twice, but will they?

It's official! The league would return in December-2014 with Season 2 of Karp Group Hong Kong Cricket Sixes. It will have an extension with new venues being added along with the West Indies cricket team to the tournament. Nine teams would be split in three groups of three teams each with the top teams along with the best second placed team qualifying for the Knockouts.
