Viduka and Martins stun Chelsea

Viduka and Martins hero for Newcastle​

Newcastle celebrated their first win under Kevin Keegan with a 3-2 thriller against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge .
Goals from Mark Viduka and Obafemi Martins broke Chelsea's unbeaten record at home . Viduka gave Newcastle the opener just after 2 minutes with a great volley from the 6 yards box past Petr Cech . Newcastle had to wait until 4 minutes from time to make the game in their favor Mark Viduka heading in Obafemi Martins cross .

Mark Viduka celebrates the opener​

The Magpies had got their noses in front after just 2 minutes when Viduka volleyed Beye's cross in the top right corner making no chance for Cech o even touch it . Then Michael Owen hit the post just after 10 minutes , but on the other end Foster made two fine saves of Drogba and Pizarro .
But 6 minutes later Martins doubled their lead with a fine header . Newcastke when 2-0 up at half time .

   Chelsea came back positive . They earned a early penalty in second half when Drogab was bought down by Foster . But Lampard hit the post and the ball went out for goal kick . But soon Pizarro bought one back .
   A classical finish meeting a classical pass from Lampard . 10 minutes later Pizarro equalized through a great header assisted by Ashely Cole's cross . Chelsea back in it .
   Owen , Milner and Smith who was bought on for Emre had closed efforts on target making Petr Cech do some work . David Villa the new signing by Chelsea was introduced and he had a great first touch which produced a stunning save by Ben Foster .
   4 minutes before time Martins crossed in a great ball and which was met by a great header by Mark Viduka which passed Petr Cech in the goal .

Newcastle United ended their first match at St James Park this season with a great victory .

Lukas Podolski gave Tottenham Hotspurs the early lead . Sublime finish by Podolski past Ben Foster assisted by Stead Mlabranque in the 27 minute . 8 minutes after half time Michael Owen deflect Obafemi martin shot in the far left corner beating Paul Robinson . And late in extra time Milner headed in a great cross by skipper Michael Owen and Newcastle United celebrated the victory .

Newcastle United came with high confidence of beating chelsea at stomford bridge . They came 3 times in 5 minutes . Damien Duff the first one taking a stunning free kick from 25 yards out to trouble Paul Robinson who got a finger on the ball . Then was Habib Beye who volleyed a shot from 20 yards again troubling Paul Robinson who a got a hand on it . And then was Michael Owen heading one on the post . But the Spurs scored on the counter attack 27 minutes after kickoff . Staed Malbranque taking on the defenders and then passing it to Lukas Podolski with a sublime finish in the bottom right corner past Foster .

Newcastle started the second half on the attack . And they got the result 8 minutes after restart . Obafemi Martins shot was deflected in by Michael Owen and the score was leveled . 2 minutes later mark Viduka was injured by Pascal Chimbonda and was substituted for James Milner . 10 minutes later Damien Duff was substituted for Shola Ameobi . Tottenham created a lot of attack but some great defending by Newcastle United was showed by Jonathan Woodgate . 2 minutes in extra time Michael Owen crossed in and James Milner was their to head the ball passed Paul Robinson . Fans and players celebrated . Nicky Butt was sent off for his second yellow by referee 1 minute later . Newcastle United had to play the remaining 1 minute with 10 men which they did and they registered their second win of the season .

Newcastle United went up to first place with an easy 3-0 victory over the struggling cottagers at Craven Cottage .

Martins celebrates the goal​

Newcastle United started the match on a high note and they took the lead in the 6th minute by header from Owen beating Kesley Keller in far left corner . Boss Kevin Keegan celebrated a great start . 10 minutes later a great strike by Martins beating Keller doubled the lead for Newcastle . Newcastle United surely and won the match and Emre 9 minutes later made the match out of doubt for Newcastle United with a great header from inside the box . Newcastle header 3-0 at half time .

Steven Taylor was the hero for Newcastle United​

Fulham had to show real commitment if they had any chance of coming back . But it never happened as Foster save two chances from Healy . Fulham were on the attacking . Newcastle made their first change 10 minutes after restart . Mark Viduka who was suffering from an injury was substituted by Alan Smith . Fulham created some more chances through McBride , Dempsey and Healy but unable to convert them . Newcastle United defence was superb . Soon in the 72th minute Newcastle had a great one on one chance through Smith to finish the game off but Keller was able to clear the ball . Johnwas bought in for Bocanegra in the 78th minute as the fourth attacker . But this didnt had a effect as the Newcastle defense stood tall and confirmed the victory for Newcastle United .
