A robust batting performance leads The Boys to a formidable total of 327 for 4 in their full 50.0 overs, with Ahmed Leo's hundred lighting up the innings.
A strong overall batting performance by the hometeam results in an intimidating first-innings score for The Boys. D. P. Warnakulasuriya's cheap dismissal was perhaps, the only blemish on the entire innings for The Boys. A 106-run opening-wicket stand between KGFisbetterthanRRR and Suman Mohanty laid the perfect foundation, which their side was able to capitalize on. Even after KGFisbetterthanRRR's dismissal, Suman Mohanty carried on playing a classy knock. He was dismissed four runs short of a well-earned hundred, but The Boys' No. 3 lit up the big stage by scoring the first hundred of this year's List A season. Ahmed Leo's 100-ball 112 included 14 fours and 3 sixes as the right-hander played a mainstay knock for The Boys. Bigby Wolf's pyrotechnical display towards the end of the innings helped The Boys edge-past the 300-run mark, with Ahmed Leo and He adding 125 runs in 69 deliveries together to give The Boys the perfect finish. Skipper Ted Lasso leads the pack for The Boys as the home side completes a 61-run drubbing over Titans.
Titans were off to a poor start in pursuit of 328, with their top-three falling cheaply. In no time, Titans were reduced to 33 for 3 before their captain and No. 4, Dikshansh grouped together with their No. 5, Nidhish Adhikari to put-up an impressive 111-run stand for the fourth-wicket and rejuvenated the run-chase. Titans lost their captain Dikshansh and Nidhish Adhikari in the space of 8 runs, but somehow managed to avoid a collapse with an enthralling 82-run counterattack from Anmol Joshi and Ashutosh K. Kushwaha. In amidst of tight and controlled bowling by The Boys, the required run-rate rose and left Titans' batters no choice but to go for risky shots, which resulted in more wickets crumbling at the most inopportune moments, and Titans ultimately losing their footing in the game. Titans' tailenders... Manish Reddy, Batman and Eesala Cupnamde showed plenty of grit but unfortunately, to a defeated fate.
