IDEAS

- Cricket articles with pictures, all written by PC members
- results and latest happenings
- Jokes and fun facts
- crickets tip for all our young cricketers
- player of the month
- player ratings

It would be downloadable from PC in a adobe reader format (PDF).
first of all we need a team of editors, writers, gfx worker, and guy who puts all the work together!

Please reply if you want to help in any way. Thanks

Stupid idea, it'll never work. This isn't the first time the idea has been brought about.

It will be totally boring. Those who will download this can see in the site itself.

It would work for people who can spend few mins to open up a PDF to read, and enjoy.

At first everyone though T20 was crap idea, look now.

It doesn't mean everyone else is not for it!

yes guys, not only things that made it to the top of headlines and news TV. PlanetCricket monthly magazine which would be great!!

I've seen this idea work elsewhere, but it died off after a few months because of the amount of time it took. My concern comes from your last line, the bolded bit. Did you intend for someone to come along and do that all for you, because that is the major part in anything like this, the additional work it would take to put together.

Also I foresee this just resulting in a huge amount of debate over the graphics and very little actual content.

never though of that, just saw it from some other website, and though it would work here at PC..

My concerns are regarding the readers and how many would take time (I hope alot), because having a team of 5/6 active workers would not be bad. You don't have to spend whole week to make this, like a few hours for each person.
Maybe start off with fewer pages,

Think there have been 3 tries at this here in the past. It never gets anywhere. I don't see it containing anything worth reading that you wouldn't have already actually read on the boards. A monthly podcast might be a better idea but that's even more effort!

it's actully easy to make people laugh on a podcast, then this.

can we try it once, for a test?

No offence to Duff (I know how hard he works on YC), but I meant a different type of podcast. One that concentrates on the site, a bit of cricket news, a bit of gaming news, a look at the story threads, maybe the odd interview. Youthcluster is fine but its basically just a collection of jokes, insults and japes at Stevie's expense (not that there is much wrong with that ;)). Basically something cricket related rather than youth related.

I'd be very much for that sort of thing, provided the right people are involved (if you were to do it, then fantastic).

I don't have a mic, only a sony handycam :(..

If our stuff is worth reading, well organized then it would make you read it.
