Front cover looks class there Usy, it really does. Wether it can live up to it's hype inside is anohter thing but it is a good start. If you get enough people to help yourself do it then I am sure you will prevail.

To everyone who wants to knwo, I have told usy by PM that I think we should not release a magazine this month as it will only leave us 2 days to completely finish it. So my idea is to start next month's issue now so that we can have a whole month to polish it off.

No offence to Duff (I know how hard he works on YC), but I meant a different type of podcast. One that concentrates on the site, a bit of cricket news, a bit of gaming news, a look at the story threads, maybe the odd interview. Youthcluster is fine but its basically just a collection of jokes, insults and japes at Stevie's expense (not that there is much wrong with that ). Basically something cricket related rather than youth related.

Totally agree. I obviously had this perfect idea myself a few months back, but it fell apart quickly thanks to a lack of access and a warning from the University.

Really good idea though if you have the contacts and the equipment needed for a high quality podcast.

With a fair few people behind it and a bit of persistence, there is a possibility the critics could be proved wrong with a decent readership - and also a decent read! If not, it will be some experience of writing for those working on it.

I have offered my services with the written word, for the experience more than anything. From what I gather April 2008 will be our launch.

It would be great if we could make it fun for people who would be interested in reading, we can at least try for first few months to see if it works.

I personally say, we’d like to focus more on writing, as priority, and after that some simple and effective graphic work to help it on.

I was thinking of adding that “jokes” just to gain some public interest. Facts would be really kool, along with player of the month review.

At the end it would be nice to add some cricket tips, (I have a book ).

I've seen this idea work elsewhere, but it died off after a few months because of the amount of time it took. My concern comes from your last line, the bolded bit. Did you intend for someone to come along and do that all for you, because that is the major part in anything like this, the additional work it would take to put together.

Also I foresee this just resulting in a huge amount of debate over the graphics and very little actual content.

The old PC Newsletter project mainly cricsim based, grabbed less attention due to the dullness of PC cricsim news and nothing else
