The My Sport is better than yours thread

*Silence as everyone in the world outside New South Wales and Queensland stares at Feelin Blue.*

en eff tee.
:D:D:D:D

So true though, Football by a long distance. It's just brilliant, and non-football fans won't understand it. I hate it when people use the explanation that someone on here used, about people chasing a ball. You could use that for most sports. Going by that explanation, you could say cricket's just a game where someone bowls a ball to someone else and they hit it.

Jaztheman was right in what he said as well, it was a keeper and he broke his neck and carried on playing. Might have been in a cup final, can't remember his name, but you'll find it on google or the like.

Cricket's great but football takes it apart.

As Joe said, en eff tee.

But in a whole 90 minutes of boring passing back, sometimes no team scores... BOOOORING, or, games get decided by players diving and being cheats.

But i guess its hard to get it through to a pom since soccer is amazingly over cooked in the media over there.

Dumb Aussie :p

This will never work as no one is approaching it with an open mind ;)

Im actually Scottish born so basically your bagging yourself.

I have an open mind. Luckily i live in a country that gives a wide variety of sports to freely choose from.

lmao Stevo you're sounding American.

Anyone who likes cricket and calls football boring needs their head checking.

Anyway I prefer playing cricket, I love both of them but the atmosphere at cricket is so nice.

Having said all that whilst I'm mad about united and playing football and I love cricket too neither of them are my sports. All this talk about who's sport is hardest lol, none of them even come close too boxing. Boxing>>> anything. When you win you feel invincible and to watch it's great as well. The majority of the people on here go on about how hard their sport is when half of them wouldn't even have the balls to step into a boxing ring.

I am not a bandwagoner I have every bit of merchandise, even the mufc duvet. and I went and watched a game about 10 years ago on my birthday.

Well I do have sky so I am just as big a supporter from home!

(no it wasn't the last one was the one before the CL final :p)

Football generally has never interested or attracted me. The format of the game has not appealed to me and I've tried my best to understand and appreciate it. I did watch some of the World Cup games though for the sheer excitement of seeing top class sides in action.

The Western European football teams are all boring - so are their styles. They depend so much on boorishness and physical prowess over skills of manipulation and control of the ball.

The best football I've seen has involved one of the South American teams Brazil or Argentina. Even their defensive techniques have sheer artistry and class.

I don't give any **** about European or English club football though.

As much as I respect everyone's opinion, I seriously think the above comment about Western Football sucks. Because most of your Brazilians and Argentines actually play in Europe.

I agree that Football/Soccer is the most popular sport, and there must be a reason to it. All I'm saying is that it simply doesn't appeal to me and I really don't know what that reason is.

You see, for the most part of my life i've grown up in a country where soccer isn't a big deal. Born in India, cricket is part of my DNA. Moved to England, lived there for a year, didn't really do much. Went down to Australia, played lots of cricket and tad bits of rugby. I move here to America and am now into tons of Basketball and Tennis.

I guess location influences your favorite sports as well.
